      Any of various Pedaliaceae annual herbs
      (2n=26) of genus benne, native to the
      southern part of North China Plain and
      the middle reaches of Yangtze River,
      having rich fat and protein in the seeds.
      The herb is mainly distributed in Henan,
      Hubei and Anhui provinces in China.
