Source Any of various labiatae spice plants of genus salvia, originally native to Europe and now mainly grow in France, Russia and Uzbekistan, etc. The plant was firstly introduced to China in 1970s. The product which is extraced from the grass that grow in the mountains in northern part of Shannxi province of China is famous for its high content of ester and pure fragrance because of the great temperature diffience in a day in this area and the humiture as well as the altitude.
