Characteristics
D-Biotin is a colorless, long needle-shaped crystal or white powder,Biotin is easily soluble in hot water and dilute alkali solutions, but not soluble in other common organic solvents. It decomposes in the presence of strong alkali or oxidizing agents. It is stable for several days in medium-strength acid solutions and neutral solutions, but its stability is poor in alkaline solutions.
Quality Standards USP/EP
Application & Function
Biotin is one of the vitamin B groups, also known as vitamin H, vitamin B7, coenzyme R, etc. Biotin is abundant in the liver, kidneys, yeast, and milk, and is an important factor in the fixation of carbon dioxide in living organisms. Easy to bind to a protein in chicken protein, consuming a large amount of raw protein can hinder the absorption of biotin and lead to biotin deficiency, such as hair removal, weight loss, dermatitis, etc.
1. Enhance the body's immune response and resistance.
Biotin can enhance the body's immune response and resistance to infection, stabilize the lysosomal membrane of normal tissues, maintain humoral and cellular immunity, and affect the secretion of a series of cytokines. High doses can promote thymic hyperplasia, similar to the combination of immune enhancers, which can enhance immunity.
2. Maintain normal growth and development.
Biotin can maintain normal growth and development. In the absence of biotin, reproductive function declines, bone growth is poor, and embryo and infant growth and development are hindered. Biotin can also promote the health of sweat glands, nerve tissue, bone marrow, and male gonads, maintain the normal operation and growth of skin and hair, alleviate symptoms of eczema and dermatitis, relieve muscle pain, prevent white hair and hair loss, and help treat baldness.
Biotin can be used to treat diseases such as arteriosclerosis, stroke, lipid metabolism disorders, hypertension, coronary heart disease, and circulatory disorders.
3. Maintain normal metabolism in the body.
Core function: Biotin is an important coenzyme involved in the metabolism of sugars, proteins, and fats, participating in the interconversion between carbohydrates and proteins to maintain normal metabolic processes in the body.
Specific manifestations: Helps with the synthesis and metabolism of fat, liver sugar, and amino acids, promotes energy conversion and the recycling of substances in the body.
4. Used in cosmetics, it can improve the circulation speed of blood in the skin's blood vessels. Within the concentration range of 0.1% to 1.0%, it is easy to mix with the oil in the formula. It can be used in skincare cream, sports medicine, foot pain relief cream, shaving cream, and shampoo.
